About

We believe we’re all better off when we look out for each other and the planet — working in harmony with nature rather than against it.

To be successful, your organisation must embed sustainability principles into the core of your strategy, operations and culture.

We’re here to help you do that.

Our services

We help organisations implement the most sustainable solutions, including:

  • Identifying core social and environmental impacts within your business and supply chain;
  • Setting sustainability commitments;
  • Calculating and reporting on your carbon footprint;
  • Reporting on your commitments and achievements through integrated annual reporting;
  • Delivering sustainability strategies and projects.

We specialise in integrated reporting using the most respected international reporting frameworks — GRI and <IR>.

We believe that the power of integrated reporting is the framework it provides for collecting data and shining a light on non-financial priorities and performance, and the opportunities it creates to do things better. And we can help businesses turn those insights into impactful sustainability strategies and projects.

Because we’re a small business, we’re able to become part of your business — fitting in to meet your needs and complementing your in-house knowledge and expertise.

Our founder

Judy Ryan established RyanJones to help create a world where people live in harmony with nature rather than against it, by supporting businesses to be a positive part of that change.

She loves working with businesses that are just starting out on their sustainability journey — helping them to go from a clean slate to an actionable plan — and working with businesses that are ready to level up.

She is one of NZ’s leaders in integrated reporting and has an deep understanding of the Reporting Matters framework which is used by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development to assess sustainability reporting.

Judy enjoys exploring the natural world and learning all about the amazing animals and plants that live in a huge variety of ecosystems; spending time in remote locations (including at her family’s off-grid bach); and also gets her nature fix through volunteering.

She has volunteered at Zealandia for 20 years, coordinates a trapping line at Polhill Reserve , and is a team coordinator for Predator Free Brooklyn.  In the year ending 31 March 2022 she gave more than 132 hours of volunteering time to her community (140 in FY21 and 165 in FY20).
